Jennifer Lawrence Trembles Like a Wet Poodle When She Thinks About Her Fame
It's so lonely at the top of Mount Olympus.
As Lawrence opined to Entertainment Weekly, “I always imagined I would stay the exact same and I would be just as happy. And I’m not.”
And there are more notable quotes in which Lawrence talks about how fame has affected her life for the worse.
“Sadly, I cannot live in Los Angeles anymore. I don’t understand how actors can do it. You have no life here. You are followed everywhere," the actress told W Magazine. "It’s not like that anywhere else in the world. I don’t want to stay in L.A. and start thinking that’s reality – because it’s very far from normal."
She explained her hermit tendencies to AZ Central, saying, “I never leave at night. I never go out. I’m a 9-5 job for the paparazzi. The only pictures they get of me is pumping my gas and walking to breakfast. People are still buying these? Okay.”
When talking to Vogue UK about the film that made her a household name, Lawrence recalls, “I was really upset the day that 'The Hunger Games' came out. I was shaking all day wrapped in a blanket.” A situation that didn't any get better when a friend commented to her, “Dude, have you seen what they’ve done to Britney Spears?”
Way to be supportive, Jennifer Lawrence's Friend.
“It gets overwhelming, where I’ll cry in my car, but not to the point where I don’t want to do what I’m doing,” Lawrence told the New York Times.
Jennifer, we love you because you're a down-to-earth chick who loves food and isn't willing to starve herself to Hollywood standards, so we hate to see you like this.
Hopefully the millions of dollars you're making now help soothe your poor battered soul.
