Jay-Z's album releases have become events in-and -of themselves.

With this in mind, we present to you the least surprising news today -- HOV's upcoming LP 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' is currently on display next to the real Magna Carta.

The 2013 album is sitting aside one of the original four copies of the document from 1215. The rapper's album will probably prove to be groundbreaking almost 800 years after the Magna Carta changed the world as we know it. Though, we can't really say (with good conscience) that 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' will be as important as the document it's named after.

The album will be on display in the Salisbury Cathedral through July, though honestly, we'd probably get just as good viewing of Jay's album at like, Best Buy or something.

For all you Samsung users out there, 'Magna Carta Holy Grail' will be released tomorrow (July 4), but the rest of us won't get our mitts on it until July 9. Womp womp. Though with Samsung purchasing 1 million copies, we have a good feeling that the songs might make their way onto the Internet... Just a hunch.

It should also be noted that his album cover (as you can see below) is quite different than the mundane artwork that was floating around earlier this week.

HOV is really keeping a tight lid on his 12th studio album and following in Kanye's footsteps by not really releasing a song before the album hits stores. We'll see how that pans out...
