Let March Madness begin and the brackets begin to circulate for the 2014 NCAA Division 1 Men's and Women's basketball tournaments.  In offices everywhere, people are picking their favorite teams, or just guessing which teams, will eventually advance to the Final Four and be crowned 2014 National Champions.

But one small South Dakota town will be hosting their own version of March Madness. Some of the rules may be different, but the object is still the same.  Get the ball into the basket to score points for your team.....but you must do that while riding a donkey!  March Madness is coming to Marion, South Dakota, in the form of the 'Dairyland Donkey Basketball Show'!

The Marion FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) are sponsoring what many call the world's craziest sport on Tuesday, March 18th at 7pm at the High School Gym.  Tickets are $6 for kids and $8 for adults.  All the proceeds of this wild and crazy event will benefit Sioux Falls Ronald McDonald Charities.  Sioux Falls Ronald McDonald charities help many families when they need a place to stay while a child is in the hospital, and the Marion FCCLA is excited to help those families.

Advanced tickets are available to see the local donkey riders attempt to score the most points for their team at the Marion School Office.  Other ticket locations are Donlan's Foodland and Variety Store, Jill and Larry's Mini-Mart, Mac's Diner and Farmer's State Bank.  Tickets will also be available at the door.  Raffle tickets will be sold and there will be FREE donkey rides for the kids during intermission.

It should be wilder than a rodeo and more entertaining than a circus.  It's basketball played on real donkeys, sponsored by Marion's FCCLA.  Come join the fun and support the Sioux Falls Ronald McDonald Charities.
