Christmas is a great time of year for kids! Think about it, all the new toys you get, all the yummy treats there are to eat, all that time off from school, the list goes on and on.

Christmastime can be a full time job when you're a parent. Well, if you're a mom that is. For most dads, it's apparently still just toys and food.

A recent survey revealed that moms do an average of 23 major tasks around the Christmas season. You know, things like buying and cooking all the food you have around the holidays. Cleaning the house before your relatives and Santa show up. Christmas shopping and wrapping all the presents. Decorating the house and the tree, etc.

Dad on the other hand, well, his major responsibility around Christmas is shuttling around the in-laws, carving the turkey and ham, pouring a few drinks, and helping the kids play with their new toys.

I beg to differ. There is one MAJOR task they neglected to mention that most every dad gets saddled with at Christmas. Assembly required!

These days I think it's pretty much a well known fact that Santa and the elves no longer put many things together.

I know I'm speaking for most every dad when I say, "while we appreciate you delivering all the goods Saint Nick, would it kill you fellas to pick up a screw diver at the North Pole occasionally?" Please!

Talk about a nightmare job. Have you seen the instructions for some of these things?

Most of the time it takes at least 20 minutes just to find the directions! Then the real fun begins as you start to wade through the two million parts enclosed.

You better hope you're college educated, as you attempt to snap this, clamp that, and force peg A into slot B, which of course is never big enough!

2 hours and 47 minutes later, you discover that you'll need a glue gun to finish the project, when the directions said only a Phillips screwdriver was required!

Still think dad has it easy at Christmas?

Time to make another Tom and Jerry.

Yep, you guessed it, that falls under a mommy job.
