If you have ever read any of the Harry Potter books you are familiar with the word "Quidditch," the fictional game that is gamed played completely in the air by wizards and witches on flying broomsticks. Well with the success of the books and the films this game has quickly spread throughout the country to where as Quidditch leagues and tournaments have started up and one tournament is going to be held in Iowa.

According to kcrg.com, the US Quidditch Midwest Regional Tournament will take place in Cedar Rapids at the Tuma Soccer Complex on November 3-4, 2018. The article goes on to say that teams from the midwest region will be completing. Teams from Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

The Midwest Regional is one of eight championships where the qualifiers from the games will go to the US Quidditch Cup national championship game. Wait, South Dakota has a team?!? I did a search and I could not find a team within our state.
