I am a Saturday morning TV junkie. There I admitted it! But let me explain why. I am a sucker for animals, (I have four of my own after all) and for attractive men who care for and train them. This explains my devotion to what is referred to by CBS as their "Dream Team" shows, "Lucky Dog" and "Dr. Chris Pet Vet". Both shows feature attractive stars with extraordinary talents training or treating animals.

This week on "Lucky Dog" professional dog trainer Brandon McMillan turned a beautiful golden retriever rescued from an animal shelter into a service dog for a young marine who lost both of his legs after an IED accident in Afghanistan. I was full-out weeping at the end of the episode. The Argus Service Dogs Foundation is just another of the wonderful things Brandon McMillan is involved in.

Dr. Chris Brown is an Australian veterinarian who tends to everything from cats and dogs to turtles, pigs, racehorses, penguins, wallabys and everything in-between. He also has big blue eyes, great hair, killer abs and a mega-watt smile.

Sorry, lost my train of thought there for a moment.

"The Henry Ford's Innovation Nation" with Mo Rocca (yes nerdy, funny guys in glasses also appeal to me) features technological wonders from yesteryear and today and their impact on our world presented in a way that children and children-at-heart, like me can learn and appreciate.

"Recipe Rehab" features two professional chefs taking on a family's favorite fattening dish and turning it into something much more healthy. What is fascinating to me is the weird ingredients they use (liquid aminos- -really?) and the fact that most of their creations come nowhere close to the original in appearance or taste. I don't know about the families on the show, but in most cases, the first and last time I would eat that recipe would be for the show! Ick!!!

"All in with Laila Ali" goes globetrotting to find compelling stories of adventure, achievement and dreams fulfilled. The feature they did on Scottish professional street trials bicyclist Danny MacAskill was astounding. They followed him from the inception to completion of one of his videos and the trials, tribulations, injuries and resilience that were a part of it. Watch the fantastic video below keeping in mind what went into it and I promise you'll smile and say, "Wow!" at the end.
