The major project on 10th Street at 2nd Avenue in Downtown Sioux Falls cuts traffic down to one lane.  An additional project a few blocks west shrinks the flow of traffic for another block.

According to a release from the City of Sioux Falls:

The northwest pedestrian ramp of Tenth Street and Phillips Avenue will also be closed to allow construction crews to perform sidewalk repairs. The remainder of the sidewalk on the west side of Phillips Avenue will remain open for pedestrians.

The contractor will also be performing repairs to the colored sidewalk on the east side of Phillips Avenue between Ninth Street and Tenth Street. The remainder of the sidewalk on the east side of Phillips Avenue will remain open for pedestrians.

Traffic on Phillips Avenue will remain unaffected by this work.

For the faint of heart who don't want to sit in traffic to see it for yourself, here's a video tour of the area.
