Election Day 2012 is Tuesday, November 6th. But did you know that you can cast your ballot right now? Well, right now meaning during the hours the County Offices are open. I voted early this week because my wife will be out of town on Election Day and I joined her downtown for lunch and early voting. But you don’t need a special reason to vote early. You can do it when it is most convenient.

Early voting is happening right now in South Dakota. Early voting started as soon as the ballots were ready and will continue until Election Day. You need to check for specifics with your county officials.

In Sioux Falls registered voters can go to the Minnehaha County Administration Building, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  It’s a straight forward process:  you fill out a form, show your ID and fill in the circles. Each voter will get a ballot for their area, just like on Election Day. Click for directions.

When we voted the line was short and moved quick. There were even signs and arrows in the building to direct us to the place to be. And the people we worked with were super helpful and nice. Get your vote in now, tomorrow or on Election Day. Make your voice heard!
