I Rode a Mechanical Bull and Did Not Hurt Myself

I had never ridden a mechanical bull before today. At the announcement for the Professional Bull Riders Tour event coming in April, me and a few other local media people rode a mechanical bull. It went better than I thought, even if it was on the lowest setting. If I hadn't gotten cocky, I could have made the 18 second ride. This is the gopro video of my ride.

My fellow riders included Danny V from B102.7, Jeff Thurn and Jerry P from ESPN 99.1, Stu Whitney from the Argus Leader, and Jill Johnson from KDLT. The judges, of whom Sioux Falls Mayor Mike Huether was one, may have been biased. Jill fell off and got three 9's and an 8. Danny got the same score without falling off, causing a tie. In the "ride off" Jill stayed on and Danny got bucked. Jeff and Stu also both stayed on for the duration. But they aren't nearly as attractive as Jill. Apparently they thought Danny was more attractive as well.

Jerry and I, being in the heavyweight division, both fell off. But it was a blast and I'll gladly do it again!
