The Thanksgiving Day meal has been devoured, the dishes have been washed and put away (hopefully), the only question that remains, what to do with all that leftover grease  from cooking your holiday feast?

You could throw it down the drain or in the garbage, but the city of Sioux Falls would really prefer you didn't go that route. Instead they are asking residents to take the cooking oil you used to the Household Hazardous Waste Facility in Sioux Falls.

Actually residents of Lake, Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha and Turner counties can dispose of the unwanted oil for free at the facility located at 1015 East Chambers Street.

All the oil collected will be recycled as a renewable fuel.
