From time to time we all have what I like to call "Ferris Bueller moments" - those days when you wake up and think of the line from the movie, "How could I possibly be expected to go to school on a day like this."

According to a new study, on those days when you just can't bear to drag yourself to the office, there's a "right way" and a "wrong way" to call in sick without having to actually barf up a lung.

Researchers at the marking firm Attest say you should claim you have a stomach virus - that's your best excuse. By claiming to have an upset stomach, chances are your boss won't hit you with a bunch of follow up questions.

And they also found that the best time to call in sick is Tuesday morning. If you do it on a Monday or Friday it'll be clear to everyone that you're most likely faking it and are just looking to score a three day weekend.
