How Much That Cute Puppy is Going to Cost You

Just this morning a dear friend of ours told us his son had purchased a Golden Retriever puppy. Puppies are adorable. God makes them that way so that we still love them after they eat our favorite shoes and poop on the new carpet.

Which reminds me, this study I came across mentioned nothing about replacing things said puppy may destroy during their first two years of life!

In any case if you're thinking of adopting or purchasing a creature of the canine persuasion you may want to consider what that adorable ball of fur will cost you. Speaking from personal experience- -a lot!

Also keep in mind that many of these costs are approximate at best, or wildly low or high at worst.

What about food bowls, beds, a crate, toys, treats. . .

Rover.com says that right around $838 would be your starting expense (if you adopt) and $75 would be what you spend per month. I beg to differ, but maybe I'm doing something wrong!
