If you're battling mental illness, Wendy Giebink, Executive Director of NAMI South Dakota, encourages you to participate in one of NAMI's support groups.

"Connections is the NAMI support group for people living with mental illness.  It's a group that is very structured and is led by trained peer facilitators---people who have lived with mental illness and are now in recovery."

Thanks to NAMI, lives are changed.  "NAMI gives people hope.  That's exactly what we're about.  Family members and people living with mental illness---we reach out and let them know that there is hope and there is help available---and it's OK to talk about it."

To find out more about NAMI and the services they provide, call their Sioux Falls office:  605 271-1871 or check out their website: NAMI SOUTH DAKOTA.
