High School Students Get Swag on Count Day

Once a year, Detroit Public Schools do anything they can to get kids to attend school – including bribing them.

In 2010, students were offered a total of $20,000 in Target gift cards.

This year, every Detroit public high school student who shows up to school on October 3rd will be given a free pair of Nikes, thanks to a local shoe store.
