After honing his talents with the Sioux Falls Skyforce the last two years, Henry Walker makes a flashy return to the NBA. Although in the previous incarnation, his name was Bill.

Thursday the silence on the other end of the phone line was shock and excitement as Skyforce Head Coach Phil Weber gave Walker the happy news. “He’s embodied all year from practices, to games, to team morale everything you want on a team. There are other guys on our team more talented, but he’s the most deserving.”

Saturday was the day that the former Kansas State product put on an NBA Jersey since 2012 with the New York Knicks. However, Walker was kept on the bench during Miami’s 105-91 setback to New Orleans.

Monday the Heat unleashed Walker early as the first substitute off the bench against Philadelphia. Three straight bombs from long distance and a thunderous dunk which you can see below is pretty good initiation.

Walker’s night wasn’t all peas and carrots as he got in the way of Hassan Whiteside while fighting for a rebound in the third quarter. Nine stitches above the right eye will be another lasting memory of the day Henry Walker returned to the NBA.
