Helpline Launches Magnet Campaign to Get the Word Out

SIOUX FALLS – Dialing 211 any time of day will connect a caller with dozens of resources. But not everyone knows about the 211 Helpline Center. Thatâs why the Helpline is asking for volunteers to spread the word through the Drive 2 Help campaign.
Itâs as easy as displaying a magnet on the back of your car. The Helplineâs goal is to distribute 2011 car magnets. About 400 have already been given out.
âThe more widespread the message is out there the better people can reach help through 211,â said Janet Kittams-Lalley, Executive Director of the Helpline Center.
The Helpline Center assists callers with everything from finding quality child care, suicide and crisis support, volunteer services and military and family support.
The Helpline gets its resources and information from as many as 3,000 agencies. Anyone can call. Businesses and churches are also encouraged to get magnets for employees and their congregations. If you are interested in getting involved you can call 211 or go to the Helpline Center web site.
