In this busy world we live in, sometimes it's nice to have a little help keeping track of everything your community has to offer.

That's why the Sioux Empire Helpline Center is launching a new program called text2know.

"Text2know answers the questions people may not even know they have," says Betsy Schuster, Vice President of Program Development for Helpline.

“In a sense, we're bringing 211 to your smart phone.”

To receive the free service text 211siouxfalls or 211beadle to 898211. You'll then receive weekly reminders about services and events in your community.

Texts will be sent every Wednesday, and might include a reminder about flu shots, or deadlines for holiday assistance programs.

Currently, the service in only being offered in the Sioux Falls area and in Beadle County.

The Helpline Center hopes to eventually expand text2know to its other coverage areas, including the Black Hills and the counties of Brookings, Lake, Yankton and Bon Homme.

To learn more about text2know, contact Betsy Schuster by dialing 211 or emailing betsy@helplinecenter.org.
