Happy Birthday To Me

My birthday was last week, but it wasn't just any birthday. I turned 30. I'm still in denial about it a little bit. Where does the time go?

In an effort to prove to myself that I'm still cool and hip and young and stuff, I got something pierced.

I thought about a tattoo, but that is too permanent. I mean if I decide I don't like the piercing, I can just take it out.

I bet you're dying to know what I got pierced. Don't get too crazy. No 'naughty bits' were exposed.

The part of the ear I got pierced is called the rook. I got asked a lot if it hurt. I wouldn't say it hurt, but you definitely feel some pressure and then when he actually put the jewelry in, I could feel it slide through. That was weird. I did it last Thursday and it's only really sore if I bump it accidentally. Otherwise, I can sleep on that side and wear headphones just fine.
