Sioux Falls has definitely grown up, and some might say too fast!

The rash of gun violence the city has been experiencing lately broke out again overnight, as Sioux Falls police officers were called to the area of West 41st Street and South Sertoma Avenue for reports of a weapons violation. That incident resulted in a shot being fired around 1:25 AM on Tuesday, October 27.

The incident originated at the Kum N Go located at the corner of 41st and Sertoma with a verbal argument that included a firearm being discharged. The victim then left the scene and called 911; while a witness followed the suspect’s vehicle.

The suspect's vehicle was then spotted a short time later in the area of West 26th Street and South Shirley Avenue. The vehicle at the time was occupied by three males and a female.

When police arrived they found a stolen Ruger .45 caliber revolver, methamphetamine, marijuana and paraphernalia  inside the vehicle.

The victims involved are; Chiouk Amour, 26, Aloung H. Aloung, 31, Emmanuel Yuyada, 26, and Marla Heth, 30 are all charged with possession of controlled substance, possession of less than 2 oz. of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and possession of a stolen firearm. Another man, Emmanuel Yuyada, is also charged with false impersonation; he initially told police his name was Sassan Melka. The suspects are facing firearm and drug related charges.

Sioux Falls police continue to investigate the incident.
