GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) - Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings will have surgery next Tuesday to repair the groin injury that has limited him to three games this season.

Jennings didn't give a timetable for his return Thursday, but says the recovery won't end his season.

Green Bay's No. 1 receiver was hurt in the season opener. He sat out the second game, returned against Seattle but aggravated the injury early in the fourth game. Jennings hoped the injury would heal with rest and rehab, but knew more aggressive treatment was needed after he felt it tighten up again as he tried to run off the field Sunday in St. Louis.

He saw a specialist in Philadelphia on Wednesday, and Jennings says he opted for surgery over an injection because it is a sure fix of the injury.
