Do you have a innovative idea that you're just dying to put into motion? Well, this is the weekend for you.

This Friday, November 6, through Sunday, November 8 is Startup Weekend in Sioux Falls.

Startup Weekend is not just indicative to Sioux Falls, it actually happens around the globe with more than 3000 events in 150 countries. It's a time for aspiring entrepreneurs to come together to pitch ideas, build prototypes, and make presentations.

Starting Friday, participants will arrive with an idea, pitch it, and then teams will form around those ideas. All that happens in just a span of 54-hours! The teams will have the weekend to work on building prototypes before making a final presentation to a panel of local judges on Sunday.

According to Kristina Johnson, an organizer of Sioux Falls Startup Weekend, "You may be working with people you may have never met before and that's what makes it really cool."

This weekends event will attract entrepreneurs of all types, including freelancers, students, professors and people representing agencies.

The key is being really open minded said Joe Schaeffer, a graphic designer and a participant in this weekends Sioux Falls Startup event. Schaeffer says, “Have a conversation to learn more about the idea before jumping into a group."

All the events begin this Friday and run through Sunday at the Raven Training Center in Sioux Falls.
