For several years, we watched our daughter struggle with reading and writing. She's such a smart kid and it was difficult to watch her lose confidence as the challenged continued. Thankfully an alert 4th grade teacher spotted the signs of dyslexia and suggested we have her screened. The Sioux Falls office of the Scottish Rite screened her, pin-pointed her specific type of dyslexia, allowing for an education plan to be put it place at school.  She improves every week and her confidence is being rebuilt.

If you're concerned about your child's ability to read or have noticed their writing includes reversed characters, a free event can bring you more details about Dyslexia.
