If going to the range is something you like to do but think it would be fun to do something other than stand and shoot at paper over and over again, I've got just the thing for you!

The Sioux Falls Practical Shooters, a United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) affiliated club, are offering a free Intro to USPSA class on April 21, 2018 at Big Sioux Rifle and Pistol Club.

You'll learn the rules and safety procedures to participate in a really fun sport. The big things are that all guns stay unloaded and cased or holstered unless it is your turn to shoot, when you are shooting you can't break the "180" or point the gun more than 90 degrees on either side of you, don't move with your finger inside the trigger guard without actually shooting at targets, and don't drop or lose control of your gun.

There's no need to sign up in advance. Just show up with a pistol, a holster that covers the trigger guard, and 100 rounds of ammunition. Don't worry about buying fancy gear or guns before you try it.

You leave your fear of looking stupid or feeling out of place at home. 2018 will be my fourth year shooting this sport. I have always gotten help whenever I asked. The other shooters are really helpful. I promise, no one will bark at you for asking a question.

Here's a video of me from last year shooting one of the club matches.
