June 6, 1944: The largest allied operation of World War II began in Normandy, France.  The 43 minute documentary, 'D-Day: Normandy 1944' is brilliantly narrated by journalist and South Dakota native Tom Brokaw.

What I was drawn to in this project is that it tells the story of D-Day in a new way that gives such clarity to one of the most important events in the history of mankind. I thought this was going to be another traditional documentary featuring grainy black and white footage, but as soon as I saw the first minutes of the film on the giant screen, I found it irresistible." - TOM BROKAW, Narrator

The film features actual footage and is set to music from the London Symphony Orchestra.

In honor of the 70th anniversary, military veterans will receive free admission to the film at the Wells Fargo CineDome in Sioux Falls over Labor Day weekend, August 30, 31 and September 1 compliments of Wells Fargo.
