Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says four Sioux Falls residents were arrested early Tuesday morning following an altercation with another group of people.

"They ended up at 41st and Sertoma around 1:30 A.M. on Tuesday. One person pulled out a handgun and ended up shooting one round. Once the gun came out, everybody took off running. We had a lot of people that said they heard the gunshot. Our victim and a friend left and went to an apartment nearby to call police. We had some witnesses that followed the suspects as they drove away. We were able to stop the suspects in their van. Officers found the gun and drugs inside the van."

Clemens says drugs, including meth and marijuana, were located inside the van. The suspects are facing firearm and drug related charges.

It's not known which one of the four people pulled out the gun.
