One of the best players to ever wear a women's basketball uniform at the University of South Dakota is continuing her career as a professional.

Nicole Seekamp has signed to play with AZS PWSZ Gorzow in Poland.

In a USD press release, Seekamp said:

I feel extremely blessed to be able to continue playing, especially at a high level. To be able to travel the world and experience a completely different culture while playing is an added bonus!

The Renmark, South Australia native was 2016 Summit League Player of the Year and 2016 Women's National Invitation Tournament MVP. She was twice named the Summit League Tournament MVP and three times named to the Summit League first team. She was a three-time member of the league's all-academic team and twice named CoSIDA academic all-district.

Seekamp leaves USD second all-time for points (2,056), assists (628) and steals (265). She set the Summit League record for career assists while ranking fourth in points and seventh in steals. Seekamp holds both the Coyote and Summit League record for assists in a season (232).

In the NCAA last season, Seekamp ranked 10th in assists per game with 6.4, 18th in assist-to-turnover ratio with 2.42 and 41st in steals per game with 2.47. She also had the 20th-best free-throw percentage at 86.4.

AZS PWSZ Gorzow was founded 1957. In 2004, the team was promoted to the PLKK, after winning the First League in the 2003-04 season.

Seekamp was one of two Australians to sign with the team, joining 2013 Australian WNBL Rookie of the Year Stephanie Talbot.

Seekamp is scheduled to depart for Poland in early September. She was hoping to land a spot with a WNBA team, but went undrafted in April.
