Former Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterback Steve Taylor joined Jeff Thurn on Monday's edition of Overtime.

Taylor (@Tmadeqb9) was a quarterback at Nebraska from 1985 to 1988. Hear his conversation with Thurn below:

Thurn asks Taylor how impressed he's been with Nebraska in 2014?

"You know, I think I've been fairly impressed. I love their demeanor and character this year. I think if you look back at our teams the last decade or so, we've been kind of missing that. We got some really great, solid leadership. I think the coaching staff now is pretty much settled. They got confidence in one another and what they are doing. They have gotten through those early, early growing pains. So, I think in regards to that all stuff, you have to feel pleased will all that. Now it's just a matter of all that and transforming or making it all the way to the football field."

Nebraska is 8-1 and plays at Wisconsin, vs. Minnesota and at Iowa to finish the season.

Thurn asks Taylor about the new college football playoff system:

"For whatever reason, they only voted four teams, which I think is really ridiculous. I think if you win your conference championship, you could have automatic bid into playoff system and playing for the national championship. I mean otherwise there's not a difference from teams from one to 10 for the most part. Anyone of those teams could win it all. So, I think it's really unfair and unjust, but that's the direction they decided to go. But ultimately you hope that we would end up there."
