Five Arrested Following Shootout, Drug Bust in Sioux Falls Thursday. See the Pot Seized.
Five men are in jail today following a robbery, car chase, and gunshots Thursday afternoon in Sioux Falls.
According to the Sioux Falls Police a group of three men robbed two men of 31 pounds of marijuana, plus a gold chain and possibly some money in the 900 block of East 14th Street in Sioux Falls (just west of Cliff Avenue)
Officers responded to a call of shots fired and found three men in a Cadillac shooting at two men in a Dodge pickup. They located the pickup near 10th & West Avenue and the Cadillac near Madison and West. The men in the Cadillac ran, but were caught after a short foot pursuit.
The three men in the Cadillac, 29-year-old Greg Windon, 26-year-old Deven Green, and 39-year-old Phillip Bland, are all charged with first degree robbery, discharging a firearm at a motor vehicle, aggravated assault, possession of more than 10 pounds of marijuana, and possession with intent to distribute more than one pound of marijuana.
The men in the pickup, 31-year old Eric Jermaine Smith, and 29-year old Rickey Walker, were both charged with possession of more than 10 pounds of marijuana and intent to distribute more than one pound of marijuana. Walker was also charged with aggravated assault, discharging a firearm at a motor vehicle, and possession of a controlled substance.
