Kudos to Firehouse Subs in Sioux Falls!

As part of their community involvement, the Sioux Falls restaurant donated $17,200 in equipment to the Hurley Fire Department.   The self-contained breathing apparatus units will provide firefighters with breathable air during life-threatening situations.

Firehouse Subs made the announcement during a presentation on Wednesday.

Eric Engelstad, franchisee of the Sioux Falls restaurant, told us:  "We're honored to provide this equipment in order to protect our local heroes.  Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation gives us the opportunity to show our appreciation in the best way possible, by giving back."

Brad Georgeson is the Hurley Fire Chief.  "With out budget the way it's set, I'm going to guess it would be two to four years to acquire four of the units.  We have received the units in grant thanks to Firehouse Subs."

The money for the equipment comes from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
