Do you think your neighbors go a bit overboard on Christmas decorations? At least you don’t live next to the family with 502,165 Christmas lights!

For the second time in 3 years, a family from Australia sets the Guinness world record for the most Christmas lights at a residential home.

It only took 502,165 lights and 31 miles of wire for David Richards and his family to put together. Richard says his electric bill runs about $2,291 each month the lights are up, although a local energy company is covering the cost.

Ultimately, the Richards' goal is to money for a charity called SIDS and Kids ACT, which works to reduce Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.
