The frigidity of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea temporarily gave way to some fiery performances Sunday night (February 25) thanks to electric Closing Ceremony sets delivered by EXO and CL.

The pair of K-pop acts took the stage amid a flurry of lights, drama and even a drone show for a show that sent social media wild. Eight-piece group EXO tackled hits “Power” and “Growl" and captivated Twitter.

But just how rabidly did EXO's fanbase post about the set? According to the International Olympic Committee's head of social media, fans tweeted about EXO eight million times in just four hours.

CL, on the other hand, gave fans something to chew on with a performance of “The Baddest Female” and “I Am the Best.” She later told Billboard after the show that the opportunity to perform on her own turf for such a big event was uniquely special.

“It’s an honor,” she said. "It’s so special to me. I haven’t done a [performance] in Korea in a while so it was very meaningful. Just coming back home is real great.”

And she certainly didn't disappoint followers, who raved about her set.

Still, big-name acts weren't the only ones who stole attention: 13-year-old guitarist Yang Tae-hwan played a tune from the The Four Seasons and temporarily stole the hearts of everyone watching.
