It’s official! Just as fans suspected, Lady Gaga has confirmed that her new album will be called ‘ARTPOP.’ That’s not to be confused with ‘Artpop,’ okay?

In a tweet, Gaga not only set the record straight about the name of her forthcoming LP, but she also gave her followers explicit directions when referring to her new work. “Make sure when writing about my new album/project ARTPOP that you CAPITALIZE the title,” she wrote on Aug. 5. “*its all in the details* good morning twitter!”

The name of the album doesn’t come as too much of a surprise to uber Gaga fans. The singer recently got the word tattooed on her arm, and shared a pic of her fresh ink on LittleMonsters.com with the caption: “New ink new album.”

The 26-year-old is currently in Europe on her ‘Born This Way Ball’ tour, where she will be performing through Oct. 6. She has also booked two one-off dates in South Africa this year, hitting Johannesburg on Nov. 30 and Johannesburg on Dec. 3.

‘ARTPOP’ will be the pop star’s fourth full-length album, following her smash multi-platinum LP ‘Born This Way,’ which was released in 2011. ‘ARTPOP’ is expect to arrive some time in 2013.
