I realize we've had a taste of winter already, but this is the first accumulating snow of the season.

And it's happening on a Friday - how great is that!

I love how excited everyone gets when snow shows up in the forecast.

Maybe it's the small town person in all of us, but I have to laugh by all the people who think they have to rush out to the grocery store to make sure they have enough bread and milk - even when we're only suppose to get a couple of inches.

Now that I live in town, and there's a convenience store on every corner, it's not that big of a deal.  But it's still kind of fun to get caught up in the hustle and bustle.

When I was still on the farm, that was one of the first things Mom made sure of - that someone ran to town to get the necessities.

Dad's job was to make sure all the livestock had fresh bedding.

Then came the time when the chores were done, the shelves were stocked and the snow started to fall.

Is there anything cozier - being safe and warm inside while standing at the window sipping on a hot chocolate watching the snow gently fall to the ground.

Enjoy this weekend!
