Eagle Attacking Deer is Rare PHOTO
A golden eagle taking down a deer is an extremely rare glimpse into nature at it’s wildest.
These images that stunned researchers were taken at camera trap station in the Lazovsky Nature Reserve in Russia’s Primorsky Territory, and published by the Journal of Raptor Research.
As the attack begins to move off remote-camera, the deer’s fate is sealed. The carcass was found nearby.
An occurrance such as this attack is rare but certainly not unheard of. A golden eagle was reported to have taken a black bear cub in 2004, and there are a handful of reports of eagles attacking people.
