Drivers Can Make Appointments to Get License
PIERRE – State officials say South Dakota drivers can schedule appointments to speed up the process of getting or renewing drivers’ licenses in four cities.
The South Dakota Driver License Program has offered scheduled appointments at exam stations in Sioux Falls, Rapid City, Aberdeen and Watertown since last July.
The director of the program, Cindy Gerber, says appointments help reduce waiting lines at the exam stations. She says appointments also let people fit trips to driver license stations into their daily schedules.
People can still walk into exam stations without an appointment, but those with appointments do not have to wait in line.
People can make appointments by calling 800-952-3696 or going online at http://dps.sd.gov/licensing/driver-licensing/default.aspx
