Drink up, everyone -- we've got some great news.

Daniel Perlman, a biophysicist at Brandeis University, has come up with a drip-free wine bottle. Let's hear it for this guy -- he's a freakin' biophysicist and he's using all the smarts that he has that can barely squeeze into his skull to help the common man and woman save precious liquid.

How'd he do it? Well, it doesn't sound like you need any sort of master's degree in Merlot studies to figure it out. "By cutting a groove just below the lip, he's created a drip-free wine bottle" is the big secret.

We're going to grab a bottle of vino, pour a few glasses and toast you, Daniel Perlman, for this contribution to the world.

What makes his innovation so unique is that consumers don't need to insert a device to stop spilling -- it's already in the bottle. Contraptions like that already exist, but Perlman's efforts may spell an end to that. It certainly can be a good alternative if, you know, the Guzzle Buddy isn't your thing or you don't have a fridge that can dispense wine for you.
