"Wake up on the wrong side of the bed" is a phrase that usually means that someone is in a bad mood. But have you ever wondered if there really is a "wrong side of the bed"? When you go to bed tonight, pay attention to what side you go to, because a new survey suggests that there really is a "right" side of the bed - and it's the left side!

A study sponsored by Premier Inn says that the saying is true. Of the 3,000 adults asked, more than 25 percent of those that sleep on the left side of the bed report they are more cheerful, more positive and have more confidence than those that slumber on the right side of the bed.

Breaking down the numbers in the study, left-side sleepers are also 31 percent more likely to love their job, compared to just 18 percent of righties. And those that sleep on the left side of the bed don't just wake up being more positive. Lefties also believe they are better than righties because they claim to be calmer during a crisis situation, have the ability to handle stress better and are more likely to have that full-time job.

But not everyone can sleep on the left side of the bed, after all, there are just two sides, so the righties can be proud of this.  According to the study, the right-side sleepers usually make more money than those left-siders.
