Sioux Falls Police Information Officer Sam Clemens says the public is welcome to use the Law Enforcement Center as a meeting place to make transactions.

"Our lobby is open to anybody to come to as long as they don't disrupt business. We've had people that will buy and sell property and exchange property in the lobby. We even have had parents exchange their kids when there is a child custody issue," explained Clemens. "Our lobby is open to anybody to use. There are lot of different reasons to come here. As long as they're not disrupting normal business, the public is welcome to use it."

Clemens says police departments around the country are providing their lobbies and parking lots as safe spots to make transactions.

"We have somebody at our front desk 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM every single day seven days a week."
