Dog Rescues Baby From Garbage Dump

Pui is a dog and a hero.

He saw a white trash bag that didn't seem right in a garbage dump in Thailand. So he picked up the bag in his mouth and brought it home and set it down on the patio.

After putting the bag down he started barking like crazy. The 12-year-old niece of Pui's owner, Gumnerd Thongmak, went to go see what he was barking at. Inside the bag she found a newborn baby.

They rushed the baby to the hospital where doctors found that the baby was premature, only weighing 4 pounds. Officials are trying to track down the mother.

Pui got a reward for his heroism. He got a snazzy new leather collar and medal from the local Red Cross Chapter.
