The next time you have trouble sleeping, scientists recommend you steer clear of medication and instead try a more natural approach - by listening to music.

According to the National Institutes of Health, going to sleep while listening to music helps you reach the deepest, most beneficial levels of sleep faster.

Researchers say by listening to the right music, you'll nod off quicker, taking you to the "deepest, most beneficial levels of sleep faster."

I doubt it's something Ed Sheeran will be bragging about, but when surveyed, insomniacs said Sheeran's music was some of the best music to go to sleep to.

Coldplay also ranked high on the list, along with Mozart and Bach.
