When Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez first entered the scene, they were absolutely inseparable ... and then something happened.

Fingers have been pointed at everything from Lovato's bi-polar, drug and self-harm issues to their relationships with various Jonas Brothers to Sel's BFFship with Taylor Swift for the rift in their friendship, but guess what?

They're all good now, so it doesn't even matter. Lovato only had the sweetest words for Gomez in a new interview, and it's a very mutual girl crush.

"I love her single," Lovato gushed about 'Come & Get It' to MTV News. "I went on vacation in Barbados and that was all I listened to and all me and my other friends blared, and when it comes on the radio I turn it up really loud and tell everyone to shut up," she laughed. "Unless they're singing it!"

"We've had periods of time where we grew apart and we just didn't really talk," Demz admitted. "Now we are in a place where I think we realized that life is so short and that when you have people in your life that love you so much then, you should just always be around them."

"She's going to be a big sister, and I want to be around for that," she added. "Everything about her, she has a great soul, she's talented, she's beautiful, and she will always be really, really close to my heart."

Gomez had previously told MTV, "The one thing I appreciate about Demi is that she has her own individual style, and that's something she's wanted to remain no matter where she is, and I definitely love that and admire that about her." Love that!
