With a 17-3 win over the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, the Green Bay Packers remained unbeaten and improved to 4-0.

This is the first time Green Bay has started 4-0 since 2011.

The Packers opened the game with a dominating first drive that resulted in a nine-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Richard Rodgers. Green Bay didn't score again until the third quarter when John Kuhn rushed for a one-yard score. Mason Crosby also added a 31-yard field goal in the third quarter.

The Packers' defense were the stars of the game. Green Bay limited San Francisco to three points and 196 total net yards. The Packers held the 49ers to 77 rushing yards and 199 passing yards. Sam Shields had an interception for a second straight game and Green Bay sacked Colin Kaepernick six times.

Aaron Rodgers was 22 of 32 for 224 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. Rodgers has the third most passing touchdowns without an interception through four games in NFL history. Peyton Manning started the 2013 season with 16 touchdowns and no interceptions.

James Jones led Green Bay's receivers with 98 yards. Eddie Lacy ran for a team-high 90 yards for the Packers.

Sunday's win was a dominating game for the Packers defense.
