The deadline to register to vote in the upcoming Sioux Falls School District election is Monday, May 6th.

District officials say anyone wishing to vote in the election set for May 21st must be registered by 5pm that day.

Registration may be completed during regular business hours at the county auditor's office, municipal finance office, and any location that provides driver's licenses, food stamps, TANF, WIC, military recruitment, and assistance to the disabled as provided by the Department of Human Services.

Absentee Ballots will be available at the Minnehaha County Auditor's Office beginning Monday, May 6th.

Eligible voters wishing to vote absentee, regardless of whether they live in Lincoln or Minnehaha County, may vote at the Minnehaha County Auditor's Office at 415 North Dakota Avenue.

The hours are 8am until 5pm Monday-Friday, and absentee voting closes at 3pm on the day of the election, May 21st.
