Day in the Life of a F-16 at South Dakota Air National Guard

My dad worked at the South Dakota Air National Guard for more than 30 years. As a kid that allowed me to see some cool stuff on a regular basis that most kids didn't get to see. I got to stand right outside my dad's office, which was in the big hangar you can see from I-29, and watch the planes take off and land. I would get to regularly see the planes up close in the hangar while they were getting worked on.

I never really saw what went into the flight of the jets though. I only saw them up close parked, or up close and torn apart for maintenance.

Th 114th Fighter Wing posted a video on its Facebook showing off a day in the life of a F-16 that shows a lot of stuff I never saw with my dad. Enjoy!
