PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – Gov. Dennis Daugaard has asked that all flags be flown at half-staff in South Dakota on Friday in honor of former Secretary of State Alma Larson of Gregory.

Larson died Sunday.  She was 80.

Larson served as South Dakota’s 22nd secretary of state from 1965-1973.

Daugaard says he’s asking all flags to be at half-staff from 8 a.m. to sunset on Friday.
