DWTS is back for season 21 and I think it is going to be a good one.

There is a pretty good crop of potentially awesome dancers and then a pretty good crop of not so good dancers.

The show opened with a huge production number on Hollywood Boulevard. The streets were paved in glitter, and then it was time to get down to business.

Len Goodman is gone as head judge so I wonder who will get booed this season?

Seriously though, on to the dancing. I think I will highlight the three dances that I thought were just amazing for week one. Or really just amazing in general.

Obviously, Bindi has grown up somewhat in the spotlight, but ballroom dancing is pretty different from crocodile hunting.

She was a burst of fresh air. And how clever to do a dance to "Crocodile Rock." I see what you did there. She had no fear and just owned her performance. Great job.

Alek Skarlatos was just a regular guy a couple months ago then he just happened to take down a terrorist on a French train and now he's on DWTS! And he is rocking it!

You could tell he feels out of his comfort zone, but at the same time it didn't stop him from really doing a great job. He had a great lines and posture, from what I could tell. And the music and choreography just matched so well. So great!

Now obviously, I'm going to be a little bias because I love Nick Carter. He is my favorite Backstreet Boy so I'm totally rooting for him. But if he keeps performing like this then I think everyone will be rooting for him. I mean he literally danced his pants off. Well, almost. The button on his pants broke. He was getting down. Plus, I think Sharna deserves brownie points because she handled herself way better than I would have.

As for who is going home, there are so many to choose from. Kim Zolciak, Gary Busey, Victor Espinoza, or Paula Deen. Take your pick.

But as of right now, I think the top four for the whole season will be Nick Carter, Bindi Irwin, Alek Skarlatos, and Carlos PenaVega.
