Dancing With the Stars Finals Freestyle Frenzy

It was the finals on DWTS last night! Can you believe we are at the end of another season?

The first round was judges' pick. The couples would redo one of their dances from the season.

The first round was pretty ho hum. Everybody did pretty well.

However, Alfonso came back from last week's injury with a vengeance. His repeat jive was fantastic.

Then came the much anticipated Freestyle! The Freestyle is notorious for sealing the deal for the winner. However, this year the competition is tight!

Mark and Sadie did a Super Mario Bros. themed dance and it was awesome. This will go down in history as one of the most memorable themes and dances in DWTS history.

So creative and I love Mark even with a fake mustache.

Next, Janel and Val slowed things down. They did a contemporary style dance for their freestyle and it was beautiful. It was full of smooches and crazy lifts. Including one lift where Val literally deadlifts Janel from the ground into a full standing press. The man is a beast.

How did he do that? Definitely different than Super Mario Bros. but still very impressive.

And who would have thought The Proclaimers could be covered in such a beautiful way.

To close out the Freestyle round, Alfonso and Witney decided to put a little bit of everything they did this season into their dance. Alfonso also brought his tap dancing skills to the floor for a brief solo. I frickin love tap!

He is allegedly injured? Hard to tell. Such a great job by everyone.

Sadly, someone still had to go home.

Shocker! Derek and Bethany were sent packing! Golden boy was sent home! It really was and is anybody's game at this point. Everyone is so good.

Even though Mark is my favorite pro and I loved his Mario impression, I gotta pick Alfonso for the win. Tap dancing wins my heart every time. Plus, Alfonso has pretty much been the man to beat since the get go. Although, Janel could pull out a win and surprise everybody. Not that she doesn't deserve it. She has done some amazing things the last few weeks.

I guess we will have to wait and see!
