Cut-N-Gut! A Violent Beginning to A Sioux Falls Family Tradition, Zoo BOO!
I started my day today at the Great Plains Zoo & Delbridge Museum with some great coffee and delicious, crazily decorated doughnuts!
It is the Cut-n-Gut event, in preparation for Zoo Boo coming up this Friday through Sunday. Hundreds of volunteers, (including the early birds at 7 this morning!) open up donated pumpkins, remove all the guts and then proceed to turn them into artwork!
The over 300 carved pumpkins will light up the zoo exhibits and walkways, while thousands of kids collect candy and prizes from a huge variety of treat tents.
Don't forget your camera, photo ops will be numerous! You can choose afternoon or evening hours: Friday, October 24th-5:30 to 8:30, Saturday, October 25th and Sunday, October 26th from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $5 for zoo members, $6 for non-members and children two and under free. Get tickets at the zoo box office, all Hyvee and Lewis stores or online here.
