‘Clifford The Big Red Dog’ Creator Norman Bridwell Passes Away
Clifford the Big Red Dog [CB] via YouTube[/caption]The creator of the lovable Clifford The Big Red Dog series Norman Bridwell has passed away at the age of 86.
Scholastic Books confirmed Bridwell's death on December 12, and now the official Facebook Page is celebrating his life. The post, which was posted around 4:00 on Tuesday, has over 220,000 shares.
Bridwell started the Clifford The Big Red Dog series in 1963 and continued until 2011. The books were extremely popular in the 1990s, as it was always difficult to check out one of the books from the school library.
The series also received two TV shows, and has a movie on the way in 2016.
