Crazy New Invention: ‘Lasso’ For Cop Cars to Catch Criminals on The Run
Any cowboy in a classic western movie worth their salt had to be able to master a lasso.
The design behind this invention puts the lasso look back in police officers utility belt of tools to help them do their jobs.
According to Metro:
"The Grappler" is made of a strong nylon net which shoots out from the police car's bumper and wraps around the tires of the car being chased. So far, the device is not in use by any police force but inventor Leonard Stock from the Arizona start-up company Police Bumper is hoping it soon will be after eight years of testing and development.
Watching the invention in action it seems like it's right out of the bat cave, and belongs in Batman's bag of tricks. Can't wait to see this being used on an episode of Cops.
